The port has an area devoted to fishing boats and other sports. It offers the typical services of a port in a beautiful location by the hill which is home to Papa Luna castle and the old town.

The port breakwater overlooks the Sur del Castillo area, old town, Sierra de Irta, and the Mediterranean Sea.

You can access it by using the bridge located in front of the Sant Pere gate and via the main entrance located at the side of the South Beach. The port is right next to the old town and the distance between the entrance to the rock and the port is 210m (3 minutes walk)

It is always open to the public, but with restricted access to some areas such as during the market between around 15:30 and 17:30.

At the other end of the fishing port, right in the area sheltered by the breakwater, is the Peñiscola sports fleet, with a capacity of about 80 moorings.
